The BV Holding AG (proper name also BVgroup ) is a Swiss investment company based in b Muri. Bern . It participates long-term with equity in succession and growth financing of companies from Switzerland. The company is listed on the BX Swiss Exchange (formerly Berne eXchange).
As of June 2016, Willy Michel , entrepreneur and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, held 54.3 percent of the shares in the company.
Holdings
With a stake of 40.6 percent, the stake in Skan Holding, which specializes in isolator technology, is the largest position of BV Holding. As of December 31, 2017, measured by fair value , it made up around 74.8 percent of BV Holding's entire investment portfolio. Another 19.5 percent came from a 20.7 percent stake in Ziemer Group AG ( ophthalmology ). 5.7 percent were split between six smaller holdings.
In January 2015, BV Holding announced the successful sale of its 80.1 percent stake in Lonstroff Holding AG (elastomers) to the Japanese group Sumitomo Rubber Industries . This sale resulted in a return of cash and cash equivalents of CHF 38.9 million.
In the course of the sale of Finox AG to the Hungarian pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter in June 2016, BV Holding also sold its 14 percent stake and was able to realize cash flows of CHF 24.4 million. Before the sale, the rights on the US market were transferred to a new company, Fertility Biotech AG, which is continuing the approval efforts in this market. BV Holding has a 14 percent stake in this company.
history
The company was founded in 1997 as Bern-Venture Limited , based in Tortola on the British Virgin Islands . In 2001 the company was converted into a stock corporation under Swiss law with its headquarters in Bern and renamed BV Holding AG. Since April 5, 2007 the company has been listed on the Berne eXchange, which is subject to the Federal Stock Exchange Act (SESTA) . Since November 1, 2010, the operational activities of BV Holding AG have been carried out from their premises in Gümligen. As of June 11, 2012, the company's headquarters were moved to Muri b. Bern relocated.
