Basak Türkoğlu

Başak Türkoğlu (* 1968 in Ankara ) is a Turkish diplomat .

Life

Türkoğlu studied at the Technical University of the Middle East and received her master's degree from Bilkent University . In 1990 she joined the Foreign Service of Turkey and in 1991 was initially employed in the Defense Conventions Department. In the same year, she became attaché to the North America Department. From 1994 to 1997 Türkoğlu was vice consul in Antwerp . In 1997 she became the diplomatic secretary in the Politics Department, first in third and second class, and from 1999 onwards in second and first class. In 2003 she took over the management of the energy, water and environmental issues department. From 2005 to 2009, Türkoğlu was a delegate to the Turkish Mission to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg .

She has been the Turkish ambassador in Kuala Lumpur since November 11, 2014 .
