Ugur Dogan

Uğur Doğan (born February 19, 1954 in Bolvadin ) is a Turkish diplomat .

Life

Doğan graduated from the Boğaziçi Üniversitesi with a degree in public administration . From 1978 to 1979 he did his military service in the Turkish armed forces . He was then Secretary of the Legation in 1979 first third, then second class in the personnel department of the PEGM , before he performed the same office from 1981 to 1984 in second and later first class in Washington, DC . From 1984 he was consul in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and from 1986 head of the multilateral department. He later held this position again from 1999 to 2000. In 1988 he returned to the office of Secretary of the Legation; this time until 1993 in Ottawa . Until 1995 he headed the Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan department before he was consul in Jeddah until 1999 . From 2000 he was envoy for the EU department. From 2001 to 2004 he was then envoy to the United Nations Office in Geneva . In 2004 he became ambassador for the first time : until 2007 in Riyadh , from 2009 to 2013 in The Hague , then until 2014 in Kuala Lumpur and then until 2016 in Muscat . In between he held the post of ministerial director of the administration and budget department (MİDY) from 2007 to 2009 .

Uğur Doğan is married and has two children.
