Bad Harzburg Youth Literature Prize
The Bad Harzburg Youth Literature Prize has been awarded every second year by the City of Bad Harzburg since 1989 .
The prize trophy is the “Harzburger Eselsohr” in silver; In addition, the prize is endowed with 1500 euros. Candidates are books that are aimed at young people from the age of 12, originally published in German and not older than three years. A voluntary jury made up of representatives of the city and the city library as well as young people and citizens of Bad Harzburg will decide on the award.
The trophy was designed by master goldsmith Katrin Erben and made by hand.
