The Bad Suns are an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles .

Band history

The band was formed in 2012 by Christo Bowman, Ray Libby, Gavin Bennett and Miles Morris in the Woodland Hills of Los Angeles when the members were around 20 years old. Musically, they were based on the 80s music by The Cure and Elvis Costello . They made a name for themselves with festival appearances and as supporting act, for example for The 1975 and The Vaccines . So they got a record deal with the label Vagrant and found an experienced producer in Eric Palmquist. In early 2014 they hit the US charts straight away with their first EP Transpose and the song Cardiac Arrest became a minor hit in the rock and alternative charts. The debut album Language & Perspective followed in the summer and entered the album charts at number 24.

In 2015 the Bad Suns performed at the Coachella Festival and in 2016 they went on tour with singer Halsey . In the fall of that year, the follow-up album Disappear Here was released , which also made it into the album charts, but fell short of its initial success.
