Badara Mamaya Sène

Alh. Badara Mamaya Sène (born March 5, 1945 - June 22, 2020 in Rufisque ) was a Senegalese football referee .

Life

Sène began working as a referee in 1984 and since then has directed more than 75 international FIFA matches around the world. For example, in 1992 he headed the final of the African Nations Cup between Ghana and Cote d'voire in Dakar .

Sène was a former chairman of the CAF Referee Committee under former President Issa Hayatou . Sène was also mayor of the city of Rufisque from 2009 to 2014.

Sène died at his home in Rufisque at the age of 71.
