Badminton Oceania Championship
Oceania Badminton Championships have only been held in Australia and New Zealand since 1997, despite a long badminton tradition. Since 1999, a team competition has been held in addition to the five individual disciplines. The title fights take place every two years, only from 1999 to 2002 the period between the championships was extended by one year to three years. The team competition is played for the Robson Shield , which goes back to the New Zealand badminton players Heather and Jeffrey Robson .
