The Badstoven Münden is a former bathing house and later a widow's house in Hann. Münden in southern Lower Saxony . Today the building, which was built in the 16th century, is used as a residential building and is a listed building .

The city of Münden had the Badstoven built in 1562 for 337 marks in the Kasseler Schlagd area as a municipal bathhouse. It is a three-story building with two half-timbered upper floors on a stone substructure. The building is integrated into the city wall of the Münden city fortifications . The city leased the bathhouse to a bather who was assisted by two maids . From 1563 a bathing room regulation has been handed down, in which the usage prices are set. The Badstoven had a predecessor building from 1418, which was located in another location in the city.

Bathhouses for bathtubs used to play a big role as it was the only way to bathe for many people. There is evidence that wealthy citizens in Münden donated lakeside baths as good works for the poor.

After a sale in 1845, the building passed from municipal to private ownership and from then on served as a residential building for needy widows . According to a description from 1867, it had five rooms, four kitchens, three chambers and two attic chambers. The owner, who died in 1896, bequeathed the house to the city of Münden on the condition that it be preserved as a widow's house. This condition persisted until at least 1937. From 1949 onwards, married couples and pensioners lived in the house. A building renovation took place in 1978, which is documented by a stone slab above the entrance door. During the 1978 work, a hobby archaeologist found medieval ceramic parts such as grapes , bowls and glass bottles while digging under the building foundations .
