Bahama Village

Bahama Village is a neighborhood on the west of Key West on the island of Key West in the Florida Keys . The district extends over 16 blocks southwest of Whitehead Street and northeast of Truman Annex , bounded by Whitehead, Southard, Fort and Louisa Streets.

Originally it was a predominantly black neighborhood, which was named after the origin of the original inhabitants of the Bahamas . The entrance area with an open flea market , shops and restaurants became a small tourist attraction. The Key West Public Swimming Pool is also in this area.
