The Bahnbus Hochstift GmbH ( BBH ) is a regional bus company in the circles Paderborn and Höxter . The company was founded on January 1st, 2002 as a subsidiary of Busverkehr Ostwestfalen GmbH (BVO). Within the DB Group, BBH is part of the DB Regio business unit . The BBH's regional bus services, however, have their origins in the former postal service of the German Federal Post Office . Since November 1, 2008, BBH has appeared together with its parent company BVO and its sister company NVO under the brand name DB Bahn Ostwestfalen-Lippe-Bus . The name Hochstift is derived from the former prince-bishopric of Paderborn .

Since December 1, 2008, BBH has been operating the Werrebus routes in the wages area. The concessions were initially only awarded for three months due to local objection procedures.

All BBH buses have been equipped with free WiFi since November 2016 .

BahnBus Hochstift GmbH was dissolved at the end of August 2017 and returned to the parent company, BVO.
