The Champagne-Ardenne TGV station is a station located at 113.7 kilometers on the LGV Est européenne , a high-speed line between Paris , eastern France and southern Germany. Along with Lorraine TGV and Meuse TGV, it is one of three train stations of the LGV Est européenne. The station is located in the municipality of Bezannes , about five kilometers south of the city of Reims . The station went into operation on May 30, 2007 and has been served by trains since June 10, 2007.
Infrastructure
The Champagne-Ardenne TGV station occupies a special position among the stations on French high-speed lines , as it has two separate tracks for regional traffic in addition to the usual two platform tracks and the two tracks for passing trains. To the east of the station they run parallel to the LGV and finally merge with the track that branches off at the Raccordement des Trois-Puits in the direction of Reims.
Transport links
The station can be reached via regular shuttle trains to and from Reims station. They end at two stub tracks at the regional train station. From the station there are free connections to Paris ( Gare de l'Est ), Strasbourg , Bordeaux , Lille , Rennes and Nantes . A line of the Reims tram has been running to the station since April 2011 .
