Königshofen station is a residential area at the eponymous station Königshofen (Baden) in the area of ​​the Lauda-Königshofen district of Königshofen in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .

The Königshofen station residential area extends over a length of around 650 meters between the tracks of the Frankenbahn or Taubertalbahn in the west and the Tauber in the east, which separates the residential area from the old town of Königshofen.

history

The location was recorded as a station on the Mes table sheet No. 6424 "Königshofen" from 1881 , but it was still uninhabited except for the station building and a few outbuildings. As a result, the development expanded in the direction of Tauber and the old town center of Königshofen.

The living space came as part of the formerly independent city of Königshofen to the city of Lauda-Königshofen on January 1, 1975, when the city of Lauda merged with the city of Königshofen and the community of Unterbalbach as part of the regional reform in Baden-Württemberg .
