The Kissimmee station is a railway station in long-distance traffic and is used by Amtrak operated. It is located in Kissimmee , Osceola County , Florida .
history
The station goes back to a South Florida Railroad depot from 1883. At this point, the St. Cloud and Sugar Belt Railway crossed with the Florida Midland Railroad . All three companies later became part of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad , which in turn built a new depot in Kissimmee in 1910, which still exists today. The station was renovated in 1976 and repaired in 2004 after hurricane damage.
Connection
The train station is located in the south of downtown Kissimmee. There is a connection to the buses of the bus company Lynx .
On July 30, 2018, an extension of the SunRail railway line from Pine Castle via Kissimmee to Poinciana was opened. In the course of this, a second track with its own platform was built. In addition, a new Park & Ride car park was built.
