The Salzburg-Aigen train station, built in 1876, is the second oldest train station in the state capital of Salzburg . It currently serves as a stop for the Salzburg S-Bahn . Until a few years ago, the station was served by the Vienna-Venezia-Express, which now stops at Salzburg Süd station . In 2011/2012 the station was completely renovated, with the house platform 1 getting a new roof and platform 2 a new flooring. Until 2008, the station was manned by a dispatcher , but is now remote controlled by the operations control center at the new Salzburg main station . The station is mainly approached with 4024 or 4023 trains. Timetable picture is 200.
Aigner Bahnhof can be reached on the street with the trolleybus line 7 and with the regional bus line 160.
