The station is located at route kilometer 23.1 of the Angermünde-Schwedt railway , about one kilometer east of the city center. Adjacent streets are Gustav-Rotkopf-Strasse , Karl-Marx-Strasse and Berliner Strasse . The next station to the west is the Schwedt (Oder) Mitte stop about one kilometer away. history
The station was put into operation at the same time as the railway line between Angermünde and Schwedt / Oder on December 15, 1873.
In 1981 seven trains came daily from Angermünde at the Schwedt station , at 5:31, 9:00, 14:13, 16:06, 16:58, 18:17 and 20:57. Trains to Angermünde left Schwedt at 6:10, 6:48, 9:15, 10:48, 16:34, 16:53, 18:13, 19:01 and 21:20.

Today the station has a side platform that is 189 m long and 76 cm high. He once had various freight transport facilities.
