The Teutschenthal – Salzmünde line was a standard-gauge branch line in Saxony-Anhalt . The line was opened on October 22, 1888 and ran from Teutschenthal station on the Halle – Hann. Münden to Salzmünde .

Passenger traffic was always low, so in 1944 four pairs of trains ran between Teutschenthal and Salzmünde.

As early as August 1962, traffic between Bennstedt and Salzmünde had to be stopped due to defects in the upper structure. However, a road scooter transport from Salzmünde Süd on the Halle – Hettstedt route to Salzmünde was set up for the connections in Salzmünde . There was an island operation with small locomotives to operate the local sidings. Passenger traffic between Teutschenthal and Bennstedt continued until May 22, 1966, goods traffic until December 31, 2001.

The track systems have now largely disappeared. The former station building in Salzmünde is now privately owned.
