Bahrendorf is a district of the town of Hitzacker (Elbe) in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The place is located seven kilometers northwest of the core area of Hitzacker on Elbuferstraße. The Elbe flows northeast at a short distance.
Bahrendorf is located in the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve .
history
On July 1, 1972, the municipality of Bahrendorf was incorporated into Hitzacker together with the municipalities of Grabau, Harlingen, Kähmen, Nienwedel, Seerau, Tießau , Wietzetze and Wussegel.
