Bairros is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Bairros is part of the Castelo de Paiva county in the Aveiro district . The municipality had an area of 8.6 km² and 2058 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Bairros and Sobrado were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Sobrado e Bairros .
