Balacros
Balakros (Greek: Βάλακρος , Latin: Balacrus ; † 324 BC ), son of Nikanor, was a Macedonian satrap of Cilicia .
With his wife Phila, a daughter of Antipater , later wife of Krateros and Demetrios Poliorketes , he had three sons; Antipater, Thraseas and Balacros.
Balakros was a bodyguard ( somatophylax ) of Alexander the Great at the beginning of the Asian campaign . After the battle of Issus in 333 BC. He was appointed governor of the province of Cilicia. In 332 BC He supported the satraps Antigonos Monophthalmos and Kalas in subjugating the rest of Asia Minor. In his almost ten-year tenure, Balakros carried out several fiscal measures, because of which he 324 BC. The Pisidians were killed in a revolt .
He was replaced by Alexander, who was in Babylon , with Philotas in office. The revolt of the Pisidians did not begin until 321 BC. Thrown down by the imperial regent Perdiccas .
