The Balanstra Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Баланстра lednik Balanstra ) is a 12 km long and 4 km wide glacier on the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the southeastern slopes of the Stribog Mountains in an east-southeast direction and flows south of Momino Point and north of Pinel Point into the Pampa Passage . The Hippocrates Glacier is northeast and the Mackenzie Glacier is southwest of it.
British scientists mapped it in 1980 and 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the Roman camp Balanstra in western Bulgaria .
