Balcer Kunc (later Balthasar Kuntz , Polish Baltazar Kuncz ; * around 1580 , † after 1642 ) was a wood carver and city councilor in Kleparz near Cracow .

Life

The father Johannes († 1588) was a carpenter (and wood carver?), The mother's name was Barbara. The brothers Sebastian and Adalbert (Wojciech) also became wood carvers. Balcer probably trained with his father and then spent some time in Breslau .

In 1611 he married in Kleparz. His work as an altar carver has been known since 1618. From 1623 to 1642 Kunc was a member of the city council of Kleparz, 1630 mayor. He owned at least two houses in the place.

After 1642 there are no more reports about him.
