Career

Balek and Schelhorn were friends long before their time as a comedy duo. Her career began in 2008 when Markus Balek appeared in the show Bläid Night on Franken TV . Since he wanted to make his voice imitation, which mainly includes football professionals and other greats in sport, in the show like a sports studio, he needed an interview partner. Florian Schelhorn was there immediately. The host of the show, Marcel Gasde, finally gave the two of them their pseudonym when he said goodbye to them with the words "That were balls and the flo".

The first live appearances in front of an audience followed in 2008, as those responsible at Radio F recognized the potential of the two. Ball and Flo were included in the Funkhaus Nürnberg 's event program .

The highlights of her career so far have been appearances at the Fürth Festival, at the bike race around Nuremberg's old town, where they could be seen on three stages in one day, and at Horch zou, schau hie , a Franconian cabaret event with several well-known in the region Artists.

In addition to their comedy program, both also moderated events such as a test match between SpVgg Greuther Fürth against ASV Fürth during the summer break of the Bundesliga in 2009. However, they also brought in excerpts from the normal show.

After a year-long hiatus, both appeared again at the beginning of 2011. This year they both came a little closer to their goal of gaining a foothold at 1. FC Nürnberg by hosting a game between the traditional 1. FCN team against Die Burgglubberer Abenberg and even making ex-professionals like Saša Ćirić laugh during the game .

program

At the beginning of their careers, Balle and the Flo's program consisted of a fictional gym called Siggi's Sportstudio . While Schelhorn acted as the somewhat stupid Franconian presenter Siggi Bredschneider, Balek mimed greats of the sport like Hans Meyer , Michael A. Roth, Lukas Podolski and Franz Beckenbauer . The length of the program at that time was around 25 minutes.

For the first live appearance, both of them expanded the program to include a parody of two tavern guests and a scene in a bakery with two older women. However, since this was not so well received by the audience, both limited themselves again to imitating athletes. The program was expanded to include other athletes such as Arjen Robben . The role of Siggi changed from the clumsy Franconian to the serious presenter with a suit and tie.

Others

Balle and the Flo maintained good contacts with the dialect band Pengertzratzen , with whom they also performed together.
