Ballinluig ( Scottish Gaelic : Baile an Luig ) is a village in the Scottish Highlands. It is located in the Council Area of Perth and Kinross near the confluence of the Tummel and the River Tay .

Ballinluig was of regional importance until the 1960s, as a branch line to Aberfeldy branched off from the Highland Main Line of the Highland Railway at Ballinluig station. The branch line and the station were closed in 1965.

The Auchnagie distillery started producing whiskey near the village in 1812 . However, it was closed in 1912. The Ballechin distillery , founded in 1810 and closed in 1927, was also in the vicinity of the village.

The stone circle of Tynreich (English Tynreich Stone Circle;.. Gäl Tigh-na-ruaich) is just east of the A9 , at the end of St. Cedd's Road.
