Perthshire North is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was newly created in 2011 as part of the constituency revision as one of nine constituencies in the electoral region of Mid Scotland and Fife . The areas were previously largely within the former constituency of North Tayside . The constituency of Perthshire North comprises sparsely populated areas of the Council Area Perth and Kinross with the cities of Pitlochry and Dunkeld and parts of the city of Perth . In terms of area, Perthshire North is the largest constituency in Mid Scotland and Fife. The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency covers an area of 3918.3 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 70,179 people lived within its borders.
