Central Fife was a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies in the electoral region of Mid Scotland and Fife , which was redesigned as part of the constituency revision in 2011 and continues to include nine constituencies. Here, the constituency of Central Fife was abolished. It comprised the central areas of the Council Area Fife with the cities of Glenrothes , Leven and Methil . The areas of the former constituency have largely merged into the new constituency of Mid Fife and Glenrothes . In the 2001 census survey, a total of 75,255 people lived within its borders. A deputy was sent.
