Ballville Township is one of twelve townships in Sandusky County , Ohio, United States . In 2000, 6395 residents lived in the non-incorporated parts of the township. Ballville Township in Sandusky County is the only township with this name in the country.

The township is located in the southern part of the county and borders the following neighboring townships:

Parts of the city of Fremont , the county seat of Sandusky Counties, lie in the northern part of Ballville Township; there is also the Census-designated place Ballville .

The Sandusky River flows through Ballville Township on its way to Lake Erie .

administration

The township is ruled by a three-member Board of Trustees . He is elected for a four-year term in November of every odd year, with two being elected in the year after the election of the President of the United States and one in the year before. There is also an elected tax officer who serves a four-year term beginning April 1 of the year following the election of the officer. This election takes place in the year before the election of the US president.
