The Baltimar Supercoaster Mark II series from the two Chinese shipyards Zhong Hua Shipyard from Shanghai and Dong Hai Shipyard from Wusong, Shanghai was built between 1987 and 1992 for the Danish shipping company Baltimar in Humlebæk. The ships are designed as multi-purpose dry cargo ships. They have superstructures arranged aft , a single box-shaped hold and two hydraulic ship cranes attached to port . The ship type can be used in container transport , for general cargo, bulk cargo or smaller project cargoes. The 53.10 meter long, 10.40 meter wide and 8.30 meter deep loading space has a grain volume of 4755 m³. Movable bulkheads mean that the cargo space can be divided into smaller compartments or equipped with an intermediate deck. The container capacity is 256  TEU , of which 160 TEU can be stowed on deck and 96 TEU in the hold. With a homogeneous load with 14-tonne 20-foot containers, the transport of up to 154 TEU is possible. The ships in the series have two Liebherr cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tonnes, which can take over packages of up to 100 tonnes in coupled operation.

The ships are powered by a Hudong / MAN / B&W two - stroke diesel engine of the type 4 L 35 MC with an output of 1692  kW . The engine enables a speed of 12  knots . There are also three auxiliary diesel engines of the type MWM TBD 234 N8 ​​and an emergency diesel generator.

The majority of the ships are now operated by other shipping companies; In 2010 the Werse Bereederungs Gesellschaft from Münster acquired eight of the multi-purpose freighters from Denmark. However, some ships of the type are still operated by Baltimar to this day. The former Baltimar Neptune was canceled again in 2012.
