The Baltrum I is the main ferry between the North Sea island of Baltrum and the port in Neßmersiel .

The ship

The Baltrum I was built at the Julius Diedrich shipyard in Oldersum and only transports people and their luggage, which is loaded onto the foredeck with a crane in small containers. The only cargo that is regularly transported is mail.
