The Balygychan ( Russian Балыгычан ) is a right tributary of the Kolyma in Siberia ( Russia , Asia ).

With its longest source river, the Left Balygychan (Левый Балыгычан, Lewy Balygychan), the Balygychan is 400 km long. The Balygychan rises in the Kolyma Mountains in the west of the Magadan Oblast , which it also flows through in its entire course. The catchment area covers 17,600 km². Balygychan freezes from early October to late May. It can be used for logging .
