Bamsefjell ( Norwegian for Bear mountain is) a 2500 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises 18 km west of Nils Larsenfjellet in the Sør Rondane Mountains .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the mountain, mapped it in 1957 using aerial photographs taken during the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
