Banknock (from Gaelic Baile nan Cnoc ) is a village in the Scottish Council Area of Falkirk and the traditional county of Stirlingshire . It is located 12 km west of Falkirk and 25 km northeast of Glasgow near the border of Falkirk and North Lanarkshire on Bonny Water . In 2001 Banknock had 2376 inhabitants.

With banker active was 1827-1928 whiskey distillery in Banknock.

The A80 , which connects Glasgow with Stirling , affects Banknock in the east. Banknock was connected to the rail network in 1884 with its own train station. When the line was abandoned in 1935, the station was also closed. The southern Forth and Clyde Canal is available as a shipping route .
