Baptist Kitzlinger

Johann Baptist Kitzlinger (born June 3, 1920 in Sandbach near Vilshofen ; † November 10, 1996 ) was a German politician ( CSU ) and from 1970 to 1990 district administrator of the Passau district .

Kitzlinger did the baker's apprenticeship, which he finished with the master's examination. After serving in both the Reich Labor Service and the military service in World War II , he took over his parents' bakery. From 1966 to 1973 he was deputy head master of the Passau bakers' guild. He was also district fire inspector for the Passau district and deputy spokesman for the volunteer fire brigades in Bavaria.

Kitzlinger belonged to the municipal council of the municipality of Sandbach from 1960 to 1970 and from 1956 sat in the district council of the district of Passau. After four years as deputy district administrator, he was elected district administrator of the Passau district in 1970, at the same time he became chairman of the administrative board of Sparkasse Passau . From 1978 to 1988 he was also a member of the board of the Bavarian Savings Banks and Giro Association . In his role as district administrator, he was chairman of the Niederbayern branch association and member of the board of the Bavarian district association, also chairman of the finance and savings bank advisory board at the Bavarian district association , member of the finance committee of the German district assembly , chairman of the Danube-Forest regional planning association and chairman of the Danube waste management association -Forest. After he was elected to the board in 1965, he was deputy chairman of the Passau district association of the Bavarian Red Cross from 1972 to 1993 . From 1988 to 1989 he represented the group of municipalities and municipal associations in the Bavarian Senate . In 1990 he resigned from his position as district administrator. The Baptist-Kitzlinger-Schanze in Breitenberg is named after him.
