history

The WSV-DJK Rastbüchl association was founded in 1963. After the establishment, the planning of a new ski jump began. The Adalbert-Stifter-Schanze near Breitenberg was very outdated. In the fall of 1967, Josef Lang made a piece of land available free of charge. The club members spent many hours of work building the new 50 m hill, which was completed in the winter season 1967/68. In 1976 it was enlarged and a judges' tower and spectator stands were also built. The groundbreaking for the completely new Baptist-Kitzlinger-Mattenschanze, named after the then District Administrator Baptist Kitzlinger , took place on August 8, 1988. In just one year a center for ski jumpers and combined athletes was built. The new ski jump was inaugurated on September 15, 1989. The then district administrator was involved in the construction of the ski jumping hill. From 2004/2005 to 2007/2008, the jumping of the Continental Cup for women was held on the hill . Renovation work was carried out on the facility in the first half of 2013. Then on July 13 and 14, 2013 the 23rd International Summer Ski Jumping , organized by the Bavarian Ski Association , took place.
