Katie Willis (born May 1, 1991 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a former Canadian ski jumper .

Career

In July 2004, Willis competed in the first competition of the newly introduced Ladies Continental Cup (COC) in Park City and finished in seventh place, one day later she was 17th. Then she competed in the competitions that were not yet part of the Continental Cup this year the FIS Ladies Tour , which took place in four locations in Germany and Austria. A ninth place in Pöhla was her best result. In the winter of 2004/05, she did not take part in any international competitions, but only started again in the summer of 2005 in the jumping of the Ladies Tour, which is now integrated into the Continental Cup. She was able to win the jumping on August 9th in Klingenthal and took fifth place in the overall ranking. The following winter she took part in the Junior World Championships 2006 in Kranj , where she finished ninth. In the following COC competitions of the Ladies Grand Prix she consistently occupied places in the top 20. At the end of the 2005/06 season she also took part in the competitions in Zaō , Japan . At the 2006 summer competitions, she mostly jumped to places in the front area. In the overall ranking of the ladies tour she took third place. In winter 2006/07 she consistently placed in the top ten and won the Ladies Grand Prix , which was moved from Schönwald to Schonach due to lack of snow . In the Grand Prix classification she took third place. She won the silver medal at the 2007 Junior World Championships held in Planica at the end of the season . At the summer jumping competitions in 2007 she again only finished in the top ten and was able to celebrate further podium places with third places in Bischofsgrün and Lake Placid . In the winter of 2007/08 she was a little weaker and only placed in the midfield. A tenth place in Schönwald was her best result at a COC, at the Junior World Championships 2008 in Zakopane she was seventh. In the summer of 2008, a tenth place in Pöhla was her best result, at the dress rehearsal for the World Championships in Liberec in September she missed the second round in both competitions. In the winter of 2008/09, however, she was mostly able to place herself in the top 20 again, but was only 24th at the Junior World Championship taking place in Štrbské Pleso . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 , which took place on February 20 in Liberec , she finished 19th for the first time held women's competition. In summer 2009 she missed the second round of the two competitions in Bischofsgrün. A few days later she made it into the second round in Pöhla as 26th. Two more days later she again missed the second round in the first competition in Oberwiesenthal and did not take part in the second competition.

Then she ended her career.
