Štěpánka Ptáčková (born March 18, 2002 ) is a Czech ski jumper .

Career

Štěpánka Ptáčková made her debut on August 13 and 14, 2014 in Pöhla in the Ski Jumping Alpine Cup , where she finished 15th and 17th. Her next competition starts took place around a year and a half later in March 2016 as part of two FIS Cup competitions in Harrachov , where she finished 28th and 31st. Since then she has regularly participated in competitions of the Alpine and FIS Cups. On December 15 and 16, 2017, Ptáčková made her debut in the Continental Cup in Notodden , where she reached 12th and 10th place and thus scored her first Continental Cup points. On July 28, 2018, she also took part in a ski jumping Grand Prix competition for the first time in Hinterzarten and finished 21st, with which she also scored her first Grand Prix point. On October 6th she became the Czech champion in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm from the Na Bučiskách medium hill .

At the 2019 Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti in January 2019, Ptáčková took 28th place in the individual competition and tenth place in the mixed team competition together with Sebestian Kellermann , Zdeňka Pešatová and Radek Selcer . On February 17, 2019, she qualified for a World Cup competition for the first time in Oberstdorf , but missed the points as 33rd. Just two weeks later, she reached 29th place at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld , making her the best Czech woman. It was her best result at this level so far. With the Czech women's and mixed teams, she was ninth each. At the World Cup competition on March 10, 2019 in Oslo , Norway , she won her first World Cup points as the 25th.

At the Czech Championships 2018 on October 8, 2018 in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm , Ptáčková won the gold medal in the women's singles.

At the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games , Ptáčková won the bronze medal in individual jumping behind Russian Anna Schpynjowa and French Joséphine Pagnier . In the mixed team competition, she and her team finished eighth.
