Career

Katra Komar started on September 13 and 14, 2014 for the first time in two competitions in Einsiedeln in the Alpencup , where she came in 13th twice. Over the next few years, further starts followed in the Alpencup, where she also took several podium finishes. To date (as of October 2018) she has also won a total of six competitions. On March 11th and 12th, 2016 Komar made her debut in Harrachov in the FIS Cup , where she finished 11th and 13th; further FIS Cup starts followed. A few months later, on August 26 and 27, 2016, she made her debut in the Continental Cup in Oberwiesenthal , where she finished 32nd and 41st, missing her first Continental Cup points. She only succeeded in doing this with her third start in the Continental Cup a year later in the same place with places 25 and 17.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in Park City , Utah , Komar took 26th place in the individual competition and won the silver medal in the team competition on February 3, 2017 together with Jerneja Brecl , Nika Križnar and Ema Klinec, behind Germany and ahead of Austria. At the 2018 Junior World Ski Championships in Kandersteg , Switzerland , she was world champion with the Slovenian team, which consists of the same team as in 2017. In the individual competition she took 18th place, in the mixed team competition she was fifth together with Jerneja Brecl, Domen Prevc and Žak Mogel .

On January 27, 2018, Komar made her debut in the ski jumping World Cup in Ljubno , where she initially missed the points as 37th. She achieved this for the first time in March 2018 in Oberstdorf with documents of 29th place. After she was unable to collect any World Cup points at the beginning of the 2018/19 season , Komar took to the Continental Cup competitions in Planica in mid-January 2019 , where she was able to place on the podium twice.
