Julian Wienerroither (born July 5, 1999 ) is an Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Wienerroither celebrated his debut in an international competition on July 27, 2013, when he finished fifth among 58 participants in a junior competition on the Adlerschanze in Hinterzarten . After it was used for the first time in January 2015 in Seefeld in Tirol as part of the Alpencup , it was nominated for the European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 in Tschagguns . After 14th place in the individual competition, he and his teammates Michael Falkensteiner , Maximilian Schmalnauer and Clemens Leitner reached third place in the team competition. On July 11, 2015, he made his debut in the FIS Cup , but was also used in the episode mainly in the Alpine Cup.

On 7./8. In January 2017 he made his first appearances in the Continental Cup on the Adlerschanze in Hinterzarten , but clearly missed the points in both competitions as 61st and 65th. Things looked better in Bischofshofen at the end of January when, with 32nd place in the first of two competitions, he barely missed his first Continental Cup points. Then he was used again mainly in the Alpencup, where he reached the podium for the first time on December 15, 2017 in Seefeld with second place behind Clemens Leitner .

In summer 2018 he started in the Continental Cup . After he reached the points six times in six competitions in Kranj , Stams and Oslo , he was nominated for the two Grand Prix competitions on September 22nd and 23rd, 2018 on the Trambulina Valea Cărbunării in Râșnov and achieved 29th place in the first competition his first points at the highest level of performance, while he was disqualified in the second jump. He also qualified for the last competition of the series in Hinzenbach , but clearly missed the points in front of his home crowd as 45th. At the 2019 Junior World Championships in Lahti , Finland , he took 16th place in the individual competition.
