Barbara Dorfer (born May 27, 1977 in Kufstein ) is an Austrian singer .

Career

She was born the last of seven children. Dorfer has been singing since she was a teenager. In 2005 she won the Grand Prix of Folk Music 2005 with the group “Die Psayrer und Barbara” and the title “Die Berge im Feuer” , accompanied by TV appearances.

In 2008 she performed with Rainhard Fendrich in Sing and Win! Show on and started a comeback. Since 2009 titles like “I'm back”, “Life is beautiful” or “I can see the rainbow” have been published.

In 2011 she was a television guest on the talk show " Kölner Treff " (WDR), u. a. with Isabel Varell , Hans-Werner Meyer and also the deaf politician Helene Jarmer .

For the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 Dorfer applied with the song "Can you Imagine". The song doesn't make it to the final, whereupon she concentrated on working with Wolfgang Herrmann , who rearranged the song. The result “No part of you” was produced in dialect.

After the song “Summer never goes over” from 2012, Barbara Dorfer released her new single “Es tuat so guat” in August 2013. The title was written by her and produced with the support of Wolfgang Herrmann.
