Wolfgang Herrmann (musician)

Wolfgang Herrmann (born June 23, 1950 in Tegernsee ) is a German singer, composer, lyricist, arranger and music producer.

Life

Herrmann studied folk music and flute at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, as well as piano , dulcimer , classical guitar and composition as a minor . Eventually he became a music teacher at the Tegernsee Music School, where he was appointed deputy director. In his private life, he built a recording studio in which, among other things, he wrote music for films (e.g. Two Women ).

Herrmann took with his own composed and texted song The white-blue sky in the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1991 in part and reached the 5th place. At the 1995 Grand Prix of Folk Music he tried again with the song I hab di but so liab , but could not reach the international final. The same thing happened to him at the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 2002 with Take a little time now and then and in 2003 with Gabriella .

Wolfgang Herrmann also wrote for other performers. He composed for the Kastelruther Spatzen, among others, and discovered and produced the singers Daniela Merk and Vivian Lindt . The list of the official Swiss hit parade shows almost 300 compositions by him, which he wrote for over 50 performers. With 52 titles between 2005 and 2019, Mara Kayser tops his list of artists.
