Barbara Helena Preissler (born June 12, 1707 in Nuremberg , † 1758 in Braunschweig ) was a German miniature painter , copper engraver and wax boss .

Life

Barbara Helena was a daughter of Johann Daniel Preissler , from whom she was tutored. In 1729 she married Philipp Wilhelm Oeding (1697–1781), later a court painter in Braunschweig. She created copper engravings with topographical views as well as objects made of wax, ivory and alabaster. As a poet she was a member of the Pegnese Flower Order with the order name "Erone" (Alantwurz).
