Barbara Hetmanek (born March 16, 1988 in Augsburg ) is a former German handball player who was active in the Bundesliga .

Career

As a player

Hetmanek started playing handball in 1993 at the DJK Augsburg-Hochzoll . Three years later she joined the youth department of TSG Augsburg 85 , with which she won the Bavarian championship three times and was South German runner-up in 2003. In 2004 she moved to TSV Haunstetten . With the A-youth she was also South German runner-up in 2005. Furthermore, in the same year she celebrated the league championship and promotion to the regional league with the women's team . Hetmanek moved to VfL Oldenburg in 2007 , where the circle runner initially played with the 2nd team in the regional league. From the 2009/10 season, the 28-time youth and 17-time junior national player belonged to the Bundesliga squad. Hetmanek won the DHB Cup with VfL in the 2011/12 season . In the summer of 2013 she left Oldenburg. After Hetmanek was subsequently without a contract, she joined the HSG Blomberg-Lippe in October 2013 . After the 2014/15 season, she ended her career.

As a trainer

Hetmanek worked as a trainer in the youth division of VfL Oldenburg for over five years. From 2010 to 2013 she coached the A-youth, which under her leadership reached the finals of the German championship every season. She also worked as a youth coordinator at VfL. In October 2013 she took over the management of the boarding school at HSG Blomberg-Lippe and a coaching position in the junior area. Since the 2014/15 season she has also been the coach of the 2nd team that competes in the 3rd division . At the end of November 2017, she finished her job at HSG Blomberg-Lippe. Since 2018 she has been working as a trainer in the youth department of the DHB .
