Barbara König (born August 30, 1969 in Bonn ) is a German political scientist and political officer ( SPD ). Since December 9, 2016, she has been State Secretary for Care and Equality in the Berlin Senate Department for Health, Care and Equality of Senate Müller II .

Life

After graduating from high school at Alleestraße in Siegburg (1989), König began studying political science , history and Spanish at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . She completed this in 1995 as a Magistra Artium . Subsequently, she was youth education advisor for the Juso -Landesverband Nordrhein-Westfalen between 1996 and 2001 and a project manager at Projekt Ruhr GmbH in Essen from 2001 to 2003 , before becoming a social policy advisor at AWO Bundesverband eV in 2003 . König held this position until 2005, after which she was managing director of the Zukunftsforum Familie eV until 2015 and from 2015 to 2016 the regional managing director of the AWO Landesverband Berlin eV

On December 9, 2016 Barbara King was by Senator Dilek Kolat to the Secretary of State for care and equality in the Berlin Senate Department for Health, care and equality in the Senate Müller II appointed.
