Barbara Maria Kloos

Barbara Maria Kloos (born September 7, 1958 in Darmstadt ) is a German poet .

Life

Kloos grew up in Seeheim and attended the Schuldorf Bergstrasse comprehensive school until he graduated from high school . From 1978 on, she studied modern German literature , medieval studies and theater studies at the University of Munich , where she graduated with a master's degree in 1990 with a thesis on Christine Lavant . In Munich she was also the co-founder and editor of the literary magazine federlese , together with Astrid Arz, Peter Hirsch and Hans-Christian Rohr. From 1980 she made literary and journalistic contributions in magazines, anthologies and on the radio (mainly BR ). From 1988 to 1990 she was the literary editor of the magazine Litfass , which was published by Piper Verlag at the time, and for StadtMagazin München .

From 1990 to 1993 she worked as a lecturer in New York, since 1993 she has lived as a freelance writer in Cologne. In 1995/1996, together with the musicians Christina Fuchs and Dorothée Hahne, she developed the text and sound performance Mouth Pieces , with which they performed in several German cities.
