Barbara Tartaglia

Barbara Tartaglia (born November 19, 1966 in Pesaro , Italy ) is a German-Italian actress , dancer , singer and choreographer .

Live and act

Tartaglia was born in Pesaro, Italy, in 1966, where she grew up. She studied at the Istituto Addestramento Lavoratori dello Spettacolo (IALS) in Rome, in Moscow at the Bolshoi Theater and at Steps on Broadway in New York City with Max Stone.

She made her musical debut in Italy in 1990/91 in the musical A Chorus Line as Bebe. In 1997 she moved to Germany and worked there as a musical performer in numerous productions such as Grease , Rocky Horror Show and Rent . In 2000 she moved to England and starred in the touring production of Saturday Night Fever and in the musical Cabaret . She then returned to Germany and choreographed West Side Story for the municipal theaters of Osnabrück and Paradise of Pain with Guildo Horn in Trier. In 2004 she played in Cats in Düsseldorf as swing for the roles of the Gumbie cat, Jellylorum and Demeter. In 2006 she acted as Fredda die Berghütze in the world premiere of Die 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Blaubär . The following year she played the roles of Rosie and Donna in the musical Mamma Mia! in the Colosseum Theater in Essen.

From December 28, 2010 to July 24, 2011, she was on the European tour of the musical Cats , which premiered in Hamburg, as Jellylorum and Griddlebone . The tour led to the cities of Hamburg , Berlin , Hanover , Mannheim and Luxembourg .

Barbara Tartaglia lives in Hamburg.
