Bardel is a district of the city of Bad Bentheim in the Lower Saxony district of Grafschaft Bentheim on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia in the south and the Netherlands in the west.
Geography and transport links
The place is located southwest of the core town of Bad Bentheim on Gronauer Straße and on the Ravenhorster Bach, a right tributary of the Dinkel . To the southeast is the Gildehauser Venn nature reserve .
history
As part of the Lower Saxony municipal reforms on 1 March 1974, the municipalities Bardel and Sieringhoek along with the city and the joint community Bentheim Gildehaus became the unified community united city Bentheim.
