Barents Sea Euro-Arctic Council

Germany , France , Italy , Japan , Canada , the Netherlands , Poland , the United Kingdom and the United States have observer status. The Presidency of the Council rotates every two years between Norway, Finland, Russia and Sweden.

Barents Regional Council

The following regions are members of the Barents Regional Council:

The Council of Christian Churches in the Barents Region (German: Council of Christian Churches in the Barents Region ) and the Parliamentary Association of North West Russia (German: Parliamentary Association of North West Russia ) have observer status .

Working group of indigenous peoples

The Sami (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia), Nenzen and Wepsen (both Russia) work in the working group of indigenous peoples and advise both the BEAC and the BRC. The working group has had a contact office in Murmansk since 2003 .
