The Barrington River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales .
geography
It has its source in Barrington Tops National Park below Careys Peak and Barrington Peak . From there it flows east and joins the Gloucester River north of Gloucester .
Because of its whitewater stretches and the attractive scenery, it is popular with canoeists.
