Bartholomäus Haanen (born August 1, 1813 in Neuss ; † February 18, 1895 in Cologne ) was a businessman and member of the German Reichstag .

Live and act

Haanen attended grammar school in Neuss , completed a commercial training and was a Landwehr officer from 1836 to 1851. In 1848 he belonged to the Rheinische Volkshalle (co-founder) and was treasurer of the Catholic Press Association . He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Cathedral Building Association and a member of the board of the St. Marien Hospital.

From 1871 to 1893 Haanen was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Trier 4 (Saarburg-Merzig-Saarlouis) and from 1856 to 1858, from 1863 to 1866 and from 1873 to 1893 a member of the Prussian Landtag for the same constituency for the Center Party .
