The Batil Spur (English; Bulgarian Батилов рид Batilow rid ) is a 3.9 km long, 1.3 km wide and up to 400 m high mountain ridge in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . On the east side of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains it forms the southeastern extension of the Flowers Hills . It rises 13.4 km southeast of Gubesh Peak , 21 km east-northeast of Long Peak , 13.3 km northeast of Johnson Spur and 13.07 km east-southeast of Taylor Spur . The Rutford Ice Stream lies to the east, its secondary glaciers from the Sikera Valley and Doyran Heights to the west of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1961 and 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after a medieval fortress in western Bulgaria .
