Herrenhof ( Low German Herrnhoff ) is a village in the Kaarßen part of the municipality of Amt Neuhaus in Lower Saxony .
geography
The place is one kilometer northeast of Hitzacker on the opposite bank of the Elbe and is connected to Hitzacker by a passenger ferry.
history
For the year 1848 it is stated that Herrenhof had two residential buildings as the Vorwerk , in which 39 residents lived. At the time the place belonged to the Hitzacker Office and was parish off to Hitzacker; the school was in Bitter . On December 1, 1910, Herrenhof in the Bleckede district had 78 residents. As part of the area changes in Mecklenburg , Herrenhof was incorporated into Kaarßen on July 1, 1950. After German reunification , the place moved on June 30, 1993 from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Lower Saxony in the district of Lüneburg . On October 1, 1993, Kaarßen and Herrenhof were incorporated into the municipality of Amt Neuhaus.
